COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Baselice is located in an internal area of Campania region, at risk of depopulation. It is a historical and cultural context of great value, but where the quality of life can be improved with regard to infrastructures, economy, income and, more in general,  personal services. Those deficiencies have led over the years to a worrying demographic decline. This is where the "Collective Rural Development Project" fits in: an initiative in which public and private interventions coexist to achieve the established goals.

FUNDED INTERVENTION

The redevelopment of the rural village of Baselice started from the elaboration of an executive project. Once approved, it generated an improvement of the range of services and the revaluation of the local architecture and environment, combining aesthetics and functionality in a harmonious way.

The first intervention concerned the reconstruction of the sub-services, such as the water network and the sewerage network, as well as the upgrading of the ADSL line. Next step was the paving of the narrow streets in the historic centre, through the recovery and repositioning, where possible, of the stones already existing, or their replacement with local tuff stones. The revitalization was completed with the restoration of the facades of 15 private buildings, with the insertion of toponyms and the installation of street furniture elements, such as railings and plants.

The four private interventions approved in the framework of the project were aimed at creating tourist activities based on the form of the "Bed & Breakfast" widespread hospitality.

In addition, a Bluetooth network was created to support the activities through the installation of beacons, to give access to the contents of the app "VISIT BASELICE", specifically developed in the project for the promotion of the area.
