Workshop "The Future of Rural Networking"

The workshop to be held on Monday 17 September 2012 in Brussels, Centre Albert Borschette, Rue Froissart, 36, 1049 Brussels.
This ENRD workshop will aim to exchange on the future European networking for rural development, and to help prepare for the new generation of rural development programmes.
In particular:

  • it should help build a better understanding amongst key stakeholders involved in these networks of the new legal proposal (Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) for the 2014-2020 programming period, in particular Articles 52, 53, 54 and 55.);
  • it should support the exchange of ideas and views on the expected scope of networking in relation to the future rural development policy scenario with a focus on the role and function of the European Network for Rural Development (ENRD), the Agricultural European Innovation Partnership (EIP) network, the European Evaluation Network for Rural Development (EENRD) and the National Rural Networks (NRNs) ;
  • it should help identify the challenges for the future, practical solutions as well as implications of the proposed regulatory framework for all stakeholders, as well as the needs for guidance.
