2014-2020: Which future for our islands and mountains?

The Public Hearing entitled "2014-2020: Which future for our islands and mountains?", will be held in Brussel on the 29th November 2012, at 10:30 am., at the premises of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Rue Van Marlaent, room VM3.
The event,organised by INSULEUR, the Network of the Insular Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the European Union and EUROMONTANA, the European Association of Mountain Areas, is supported by the EESC and is under the aegis of the Republic of Cyprus, which assures the Presidency of the Council of the EU for the current semester. 
Both, INSULEUR and EUROMONTANA, share the view that specific territories offer opportunities for investments, provided their development can be approached in an integrated manner. The institutional proposals on the future of the European cohesion policy will be presented and debated from the perspective of interests of specific territories, such as islands and mountains. The Agenda of the meeting is attached to this invitation. A buffet lunch will be offered by INSULEUR at 13.00 at the restaurant of the EESC.
