Dear Colleague,
The ENRD Evaluation Helpdesk is pleased to invite you to the Good Practice Workshop, 'Data Management for the Assessment of RDP Effects'. This workshop will take place on 13-14 May online.
Background:
Member States have submitted their enhanced Annual Implementation Reports in 2019 (AIRs 2019) where they reported on both RDP achievements and impacts. Member States are now preparing for the ex post evaluation in 2024 and at the same time also drawing necessary conclusions for preparing the CAP post-2020. A series of Evaluation Helpdesk activities on the AIRs 2019 have identified data management and quality as the main issues hindering the application of more robust evaluation approaches and for more harmonised reporting. It is therefore time to reflect together with key actors in the Member States on the functioning of their data collection and management systems in view of the upcoming ex post evaluation and drawing necessary lessons for future adaptations.
Objectives:
The purpose of this Good Practice Workshop is to reflect on the AIR 2019 experiences in relation to data management, with a view to preparing the ex post evaluation of RDPs 2014-2020. This workshop will further serve to:
* Exchange practices on how to identify and meet data needs in relation to evaluations and how to better use existing data sources.
* Resolve specific data related issues (e.g. double-counting, quality assurance, capturing of secondary contributions and LEADER contributions).
* Identify needs for further support for Managing Authorities and evaluators in relation to data management and quality for preparing the ex post evaluations and future monitoring and evaluation activities.
Target Audience:
Managing Authorities, departments dealing with programming, evaluators and National Rural Network representatives. We encourage stakeholders who are involved not only in evaluation but also programming to participate in this event.
