The workshop is organised in collaboration with the Greek Ministry for Rural Development and Food.
National Rural Networks (NRNs) operate in the rural development policy context. In line with the Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013, art. 54(3), Point b(v), one of tasks of NRNs is to support sharing and dissemination of monitoring and evaluation findings. However, practices also show that NRNs can support the evaluation of RDPs throughout the evaluation cycle.
Actual evaluation-related activities of NRNs vary across the Member States. This raises the question, 'How can NRNs' resources be better used for supporting the evaluation of RDPs?'
This Good Practice Workshop aims to:
- Explore the possible activities of NRNs in supporting the evaluation of RDPs throughout the evaluation cycle: planning and preparing (e.g. facilitating discussion on indicators for LAGs), structuring (e.g. participating in data screening), conducting (e.g. data collection), and reporting and follow up (e.g. facilitating the dissemination and communication of evaluation findings);
- Provide a forum for the exchange of experiences on how NRNs can support building evaluation capacities and raising awareness on evaluation;
- Discuss challenges and develop recommendations for the better use of NRNs' resources for supporting the evaluation of RDPs.
The target audiences for this workshop are Managing Authorities, National Rural Networks, Network Support Units, evaluators and other evaluation stakeholders.
The official invitation and the agenda will be sent out in the coming weeks.
