The Italian National Rural Network presents the international round table on "Rural Development Policies and Processes in Brazil, China and the European Union: sharing experiences and good practices"

The Italian National Rural Network round table, Rome Hotel Ambasciatori Palace - February 2nd 3rd and 4th 2010

In order to appreciate the future value of agriculture and rural economies, it  is necessary to  analyze those processes which, in some areas, are fostering the development  of new markets, the so called "nested markets".
The above mentioned goods and services markets join together production and consumption processes in a ground-breaking way, thus increasing the value of local knowledge and natural resources and fostering the creation of a sustainable development model for rural areas.
The future evolution of rural development policies is intended to influence international, national, European and local markets, thus supporting or affecting the development of  new multilevel and information-sharing networks which, in turn, are supposed to be essential for the creation of nested markets.
The Italian NRN, trying to satisfy and taking care of public and private stakeholders information needs in rural areas, is going to organize an international three-day meeting aimed at exchanging experiences and good practices and particularly focused on the evolution and new challenges of rural development policies in China, Brazil and the European Union.

This seminar is organized by the Italian National Rural Network together with the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, the College of Humanity and Development (COHD) from the Republic of China, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sol from Brazil and the University of Wageningen from Netherlands.
