Welcome to the  webpage for the conference "A broader view of Rural: lessons from the OECD". The conference will take place on 11 September 2009 in Rome, at the Frentani Conference Centre.
The Conference is organised by the Inea, together with the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and the Evaluation Directorate of  the Ministry of Economy, to allow a presentation of the findings from the Italian Rural Policy Review by the OECD study team and examine main issues in a wider dialogue.
Participants will be able to learn more about the Italian rural development policy at the OECD Rural Policy Review Italy.
The conference will be covering the following:
- OECD Rural Policy Review Italy main issues.
- Rethinking the current rural strategies, to take into account the different development needs of rural regions.
- Identifying appropriate responses for rural development policy at different level: a roundtable discussion.
The conference is free to attend but "by invitation only".
