EU Equus 2009 is a conference during the Swedish EU Presidency, concerning the future competitiveness, development and social benefit of the European Horse Industry, in order to highlight how the Horse Industry may contribute towards achieving EU priorities such as rural development, economic growth, ecological and environmental protection.
The conference is organized by the Federation of Swedish Farmers, the Swedish Horse Council Foundation, the Swedish Board of Agriculture and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
The target groups for this conference are professionals, officials representing organizations of the Horse Industry and the EU Directorates, politicians, the Rural Development Networks, COPA (Committee of Professional Agricultural Organizations), Ministries and scientists. We expect many international delegates to this meeting wherefore we have limited participation for Swedish delegates.
