Two strands of activity are envisaged regarding networking with NRNs, within the objective of supporting capacity building and providing a platform for exchange for NRNs and the EN RD: a) continuation of last year's NRN Meetings, open to all national networks and offering a platform for exchange of information and sharing of knowledge between EN RD and NRNs, and amongst NRNs.
The first of these NRN meetings is planned to take place in Budapest with a focus on "Communication Strategies". The second meeting is envisaged to take place in Brussels focused on "thematic initiatives" of NRNs and feedback from the Thematic Working Groups of the EN RD. b) Addressing specific needs of rural networks, like thematic Networking accompanying and supporting thematic cooperation of groups of NRN (eg rural entrepreneurship, social farming) and other initiatives of groupings of NRNs (eg Nordic/Baltic networks); technical Workshops, aimed at treating in a more detailed and practical manner matters such as websites/databases and self-evaluation for LAGs and fact finding and advisory missions in response to specific requirements of networks.
